This is just one of the many events that Five James Foundation underwrites at my church, Allegheny Center Alliance Church.  FJF pays for the meal and other fees associated with the ministry to widows.  The ministry is not exclusive to widows at ACAC but open to any widow who would like to participate.  The ministry is NOT a support group.  This is ministry taken from the Scripture in Acts 9:36-42 about the widows being in community under the leadership of Dorcas.  It is meant to be a time to enjoy food, fun and laughter and to get out of the house for change.  It is a blessing to me and I’m sure a blessing to the other women.

This is the 19 year old from Uganda who Five James Foundation has granted the amount for her attend a hair styling school for her future.

Through your generous giving Five James Foundation is able to provide lanterns.  These are requested above all other things.  In the community there is absolutely no electricity.  These lanterns are a blessing as the much needed light; that we take for granted.
